Contrast of Nature

The foreground is Bald Head Island's salt marsh; the background is the maritime forest. These are the two major types of terrain on the island, and make up a vast majority of its size. For the most part, these two habitats are protected, carrying a hefty fine towards all those who would vandalize them.
